Hello all!
I wanted to let you know that bigdawg was admitted to Mount Carmel West on Sunday night, April 6th. He is very sick with a strep infection. They've put him on IV antibiotics and he will be in the hospital for several days. 
I'm sure he'd appreciate your prayers! |

Hi all. I am Big Dawg's Mom. Big Dawg is doing better. He had a strep infection in his blood. He is well enough now that they are talking physical therapy to get his strength back. We are hoping he will be home by the weekend. He was very ill and I know he will appreciate your prayers and well wishes.

Hi everybody. I'm actually at home now finally. I have never been more sick in my entire life.
It started as an infection of my lymphatic system and caused my legs to swell then the infection became so great that it entered my blood stream and attacked my intestines, kidneys and sapped every ounce of strength I had. I couldn't walk, talk, eat or anything for days.
I'm finally back home but will still be on the road to recovery for several weeks. I so greatly appreciate your thoughts, prayers and well wishes. They mean the world to me!
I will be checking in from time to time but not nearly as often as even this is draining my energy. I was told by my doctor that the antibiotics I took by IV for 6 days straight were by far the highest dosage she had ever given ANYONE! They made me so weak that I am still having to wear oxygen at night just to help me breathe.
One good thing about it though, just lying in my hospital bed, I lost over 30 pounds! Well, it's good but then again it isn't :)
Anyway, thanks again for everything and I hope you all know how greatly YOU are appreciated by me as well...and Spider, I'll take care of that 1000th post in a day or so!

BD I have been MORE than worried about you. So what you're saying is you're glad you lost the thirty pounds but you wouldn't recommend that diet? Weelcome home. |
